Sat Sharma Slams Congress, NC for Opportunist Politics in J&K

On September 30, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Sat Sharma condemned Congress, National Conference (NC), and other political parties for their opportunist politics that have hindered regional development. Addressing the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, Sharma accused the INDI alliance of betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Namo Exhibition, organized as part of the ongoing Seva Parv to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, showcased milestones achieved under Modi’s leadership. Accompanied by BJP leaders including J&K General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan, Sharma underscored the stark contrast between the BJP’s vision and the opportunism of dynastic parties.

Sharma’s remarks highlighted a long-standing phenomenon of nepotism and corruption among political parties like Congress and NC. He stated, “For decades, these dynastic parties thrived on nepotism, corruption, favoritism, and opportunism. Their politics of self-interest has pushed Jammu & Kashmir into darkness, deprived its people of opportunities, and left our youth with shattered dreams.” He asserted that while these parties consolidated power, they neglected the needs of the region.

In his address, Sharma lauded Prime Minister Modi’s governance as a transformative force for both India and Jammu & Kashmir. He claimed that since 2014, the Modi government has ushered in unprecedented development marked by transparency and accountability. “From infrastructure expansion to economic reforms and the empowerment of marginalized communities, every step reflects the vision of a ‘New India’,” Sharma emphasized.

“The difference between the hollow promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible results delivered by Modi Ji is evident to every citizen today,” he added, urging citizens to recognize the contrasting narratives.

Anwar Khan also spoke at the event, describing the exhibition as a tribute to Modi’s vision and sacrifices, asserting it highlights achievements contrary to the corruption associated with the INDI alliance. “The exhibition serves as a reflection of every milestone in Modi Ji’s life and demonstrates how he has led with integrity,” he noted.

District President Mudassir Farooq Jan further declared, “Modi Ji’s leadership has bestowed a new identity upon both India and Jammu and Kashmir on the global stage.” He asserted that the BJP plans to take these significant achievements directly to the masses, emphasizing the party’s commitment to promote Modi’s vision and policies.

In conclusion, as political dynamics evolve in Jammu & Kashmir, Sharma’s remarks underscore the BJP’s strategy to position itself as the party of development in stark contrast to historical rivals. The call for accountability and proactive governance resonates particularly in a time when citizens seek tangible progress and transparency from their leaders.
