Jammu, Oct 7 – Dr. Tahir Rufayee, the National Chairman of the National Foundation for Journalism and Media (NFJM), is set to visit Doda district on October 16 and 17. This visit forms a part of NFJM’s wider outreach and engagement efforts across Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Rufayee’s visit focuses on enhancing collaboration between the NFJM and local media outlets while addressing pressing issues facing journalism in the region. During the two-day engagement, he plans to interact with civil society members and conduct grievance redressal camps aimed at streamlining communication and media operations.

The itinerary includes welcome receptions at key locations such as Batote, Assar, Khellani, Doda town, Pranoo, Bhalla, and Bhaderwah. This outreach aims to foster grassroots participation in ethical journalism and responsible media practice.

One of the visit’s highlights will be interactive sessions with local journalists, youth, and public representatives. Dr. Rufayee and his team, which includes prominent editors, lawyers, and former bureaucrats, seek to build a support network for the challenges local media faces.

“The primary goal of this visit is to strengthen the vital link between NFJM and the vibrant media community in Doda. We want to hear directly from the people about their challenges and aspirations,” said Dr. Rufayee.

He emphasized that addressing grievances regarding journalism operations is essential for ensuring the health of media in Jammu and Kashmir. By fostering open dialogues, the NFJM hopes to create a framework for effective communication and collaborative solutions.

Local media and civil organizations eagerly anticipate Dr. Rufayee’s visit, viewing it as an opportunity to elevate the standards of journalism in the region.

As Jammu and Kashmir navigates through dynamic changes, the NFJM remains committed to nurturing responsible journalism that echoes the aspirations of its people.
