ADG NCC Visits Zorawar Training Academy in Udhampur, Lauds Cadet Enthusiasm and Battalion’s Efforts

Major General Anupinder Bevli, Additional Director General of National Cadet Corps (NCC), J&K and Ladakh Directorate, visited the newly established Zorawar NCC Training Academy at 6 J&K Battalion NCC, Udhampur, coinciding with the ongoing Annual Training Camp (ATC) being conducted for NCC cadets from various districts of the region.

During his visit, Major General Bevli conducted a thorough inspection of the training infrastructure, camp layout, and the diverse modules being implemented as part of the cadet training program. He was briefed on the comprehensive and structured curriculum, which includes:

  • Drill and discipline
  • Weapon training
  • Physical conditioning
  • Map reading
  • Personality development
  • Community outreach activities

Interacting with cadets during the camp, the ADG expressed admiration for their energy, discipline, and dedication, highlighting the “Josh” (spirit) displayed by the young trainees.

“The commitment and passion of these cadets are commendable. They represent the future of our country—not only as potential defense personnel but as responsible and socially aware citizens,” said Major General Bevli.

He also appreciated the 6 J&K Battalion NCC for its exceptional efforts in establishing the Zorawar NCC Training Academy within a record timeframe. He lauded the state-of-the-art facilities set up to enable large-scale, high-quality training and commended the battalion’s vision, execution, and dedication in turning the academy into a center of excellence.

The Annual Training Camp continues to provide young cadets a platform to learn discipline, leadership, and teamwork—values integral to both military and civic life.
