Delhi Police Arrest Two Gangsters Linked to Foreign Syndicates

The Delhi Police took decisive action on Friday by arresting two wanted criminals, allegedly connected to international gangsters, following an encounter in the Kapashera area. Officials confirmed that the suspects, identified as Akash Rajput and Mahipal, both hail from Rajasthan.

Rajput had evaded law enforcement for quite some time, being implicated in a series of extortion and kidnapping cases that spanned across Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Police had even placed a ₹20,000 reward on his head, underscoring the severity of his offenses.

“Rajput played a central role in the July 2022 firing incident outside a hospital in Assandh, Karnal, which was executed on the orders of notorious gangster Daler Kotia. His criminal portfolio also includes complicity in a July 2025 abduction case in Gujarat, where gangster Kirit Singh Jhala demanded a staggering ₹100 crore ransom,” an officer provided insights while discussing the arrests.

The police revealed that Jhala had recently aligned himself with a network of well-known criminals including Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virender Charan. Mahipal, who previously faced arrest in the Karnal firing case and later secured bail, had also re-entered this dangerous criminal syndicate.

During the encounter, Rajput sustained a bullet injury to his lower body before law enforcement officers managed to subdue him. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital for urgent care, while the police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the gang’s activities.

Authorities have emphasized the urgency in dismantling such networks that pose a significant threat to public safety. “This operation reflects our commitment to combat organized crime and the influence of external gangsters operating within our borders,” stated a police spokesperson, underscoring the importance of community safety.

As the investigation unfolds, officials encourage any individuals with additional information about Rajput, Mahipal, or any associated criminal activities to come forward. Engaging the community in this fight against crime remains a priority for law enforcement.

The arrests highlight the ongoing challenge of tackling gang-related crime in India, especially as criminals increasingly collaborate with foreign entities. Further details will emerge as the police continue their diligent probe into this multifaceted case.
