LG Manoj Sinha Chairs UHQ Meeting in Raj Bhavan Today

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a crucial Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhavan in Jammu today. The meeting will begin at 11 am and aims to address pressing security concerns in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

The UHQ serves as the command center for security and intelligence operations in J&K. Sources indicate that the agenda includes reviewing the current security situation, winter preparedness, and recent escalations along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan.

Officials will brief LG Sinha on the prevailing security dynamics, especially at the LoC and the international borders surrounding the Union Territory. This gathering of high-ranking officials underscores the importance of security protocols as winter approaches.

Attendees include Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Duloo, and leaders from paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies. Together, they will discuss strategic approaches moving forward.

This meeting follows LG Sinha’s last UHQ meeting held in May, which came after the successful conclusion of ‘Operation Sindoor.’ The operation aimed to dismantle terror networks, and subsequent directives emphasized the need for clear, intelligence-led operations to target and neutralize terrorist threats.

Security in J&K remains a focal point for the administration. The collaborative efforts among various security forces aim to fortify the region, ensuring that residents feel safe while upholding law and order.

As winter months approach, addressing preparedness becomes critical. The anticipated challenges during this season may require increased vigilance and resource allocation to ensure stability in Jammu and Kashmir.

With tensions rising along the LoC, maintaining robust security frameworks proves essential. The Unified Headquarters meeting today will outline necessary steps to address any emerging threats and enhance the operational readiness of security agencies.
